This property is beautifully sited on both the waterfront and the golf course. The existing house was fairly new when our clients purchased the property, but they sought to improve its orientation to the street and expand its living spaces. Originally built on a pan-handle lot, a long driveway led to the house where the garage doors faced the street. The design originally made sense, but when the previous owners bought the adjacent lot, the street frontage changed and the house presented awkwardly to the public. The front door was difficult to locate and the entry sequence felt uninviting.

To achieve this, we transformed the former garage wing into living space, and we created a new front section flanked by two octagonal towers, giving the home a grander presence. This now makes the existing house the back wing, while the new front is connected to the new guest house/pool house/garage. One side of the octagonal tower faces the guest house at a 45 degree angle to create enough room for the new pool.
Additional updates to the original home—including fresh paint, new windows, renovations to the primary bedroom, and a new fire pit area on the existing terrace—further modernize the house.
The open living, dining, and kitchenette area looks out to the pool, golf course, and water beyond. Two bedrooms, along with bathrooms and a laundry room, accommodate guests and those using the pool.
